A small cedar crib for kindling by the stove or fireplace — built here in Burnt River, not stamped out somewhere else.

Finished size is about 15″ long × 12″ wide × 10½″ tall. Cedar pickets on a 2×2 frame: fourteen wall pickets, three floor slats ripped to 2″, brad nails and eight corner screws. Solid enough for real use, light enough to move when you sweep the hearth.

Made one at a time. Wood grain and colour will vary a little — that’s the cedar, not a defect.
