One board, two kitchen jobs.
This is a plan I drew up for a simple tool that lives by the stove. One end has a notch that hooks the oven rack so you can pull it out or push it back without reaching in. The other end has six graduated holes for stripping herbs. Pull a stem of thyme, rosemary or kale through the hole that fits and the leaves come off clean.
The one in the photos is spalted maple, 11-7/8" long and 1-5/8" wide. The template is sized so you get four from a single 24" board, which makes a nice batch for gifts.
What you get:
- A letter-size PDF you print at home
- A true-to-scale template, so you can trace it straight onto your board
- The notch and the six hole sizes marked right on the template
A word on wood: pick something firm and sound. This tool gets leaned on at the oven rack, so skip anything with cracks, loose knots or soft spots. A tight-grained hardwood is a good bet.
This is a digital download. No physical item ships. You'll get the PDF to print right after checkout.
