No wire bristles, just wood.
This is the plan for the BBQ scraper I built in the shop. It's a wide, flat blade on a long handle with a hang hole at the end, so it can live on a hook beside the grill. Warm up the grates, scrape them down, and over time the edge wears to fit the grill you actually use.
The one in the photos is ambrosia maple, 15-3/4" long with a 5-1/4" blade and 7/8" thick. The scraping edge has a 15° bevel so it gets right in against the grates. One scraper comes out of a single 24" x 5-1/2" x 7/8" board.
What you get:
- A letter-size PDF you print at home
- A true-to-scale template, so you can trace it straight onto your board
- The blade, handle, hang hole and 15° bevel marked right on the template
A word on wood: pick a firm, tight-grained hardwood with no cracks or loose knots. This tool gets pushed hard against hot grates, so sound wood matters.
This is a digital download. No physical item ships. You'll get the PDF to print right after checkout.
